Ben’s practice is targeted on problem solving and practice management of legal matters to complete the task at hand.  Necessarily, negotiations, mediations and solution-oriented approaches are a necessity.  He has consistently been involved in business formations and all aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, contracts, management and operational issues.  Ben also represents numerous writers of surety and fidelity bonds.  As such, takeovers, tenders, performance and payment bond claims (to name a few) as well as fidelity claims of all types are standard fare. 

Ben brings to his legal practice a broad outreach into the business and legal communities having served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Board of Trustees for Drake University (Board Chairman 2000-2003) and serving as Interim Dean of Drake University Law School (2008-2009).
