John Templer’s practice is entirely devoted to matters related to construction law, from the point of view of contractors, owners, and subcontractors. He has practiced in this area for more than 35 years, and has been recognized as an expert in construction law by his peers in the national publications Best Lawyers in America and SuperLawyers.  Mr. Templer also serves an arbitrator and mediator in construction disputes.  He has been a certified member of the American Arbitration Association’s Construction (Commercial) arbitration panel for many  years and was recently inducted as a Fellow into the College of Commercial Arbitrators, as the only member of that organization from the state of Iowa. He is a 1974 graduate (with High Distinction) from the University of Iowa College of Law.
