Matt Giles is an associate in many of the firm’s practice groups, focusing on business and banking. Before joining the firm, Matt was a law clerk to the Honorable James E. Gritzner of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa where he worked on all aspects of federal civil litigation. While in law school, Matt worked on  international compliance and enforcement issues at the Securities and Exchange Commission and on international banking and financing. Matt’s experience uniquely prepared him to help clients obtain their desired transactional, financing, and litigation results. Matt received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 2003 while working in micro-finance and development in Bolivia and Brazil and earned his master’s degree in bilingual teaching in 2006 as a member of Teach for America in New York City. Matt earned his law degree from George Mason University in 2009.
