Since graduating from the University of Iowa’s College of Law in 1993, Matt has represented clients in a broad range of litigated conflicts.  His experience includes defending clients in state and federal courts.  In addition to holding licenses in Iowa and Illinois, Matt has represented clients’ interests in Wisconsin, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Minnesota.  Matt’s experience includes defending product liability claims (personal injury and product performance), employment contests, commercial contract disputes, construction claims and medical negligence claims.  When necessary, Matt has taken cases to verdict in both jury and bench trials.  He has also argued cases at various appellate court levels.

In addition to litigating matters for clients, Matt also consults with product manufacturers to advise on issues relating to accident avoidance and liability prevention, including offering guidance on the contents of warning labels and operator’s manuals, forming safety committees, hazard analysis exercises along with other potential issues of concern for product manufacturers.
