Nick is a member of the firm practicing in the area of civil litigation.  Nick has a broad range of litigation experience and a diverse practice that has prepared him to meet the most complex legal challenges.  He has significant trial and appellate experience representing banks and financial institutions on a daily basis.  He also has a great deal of administrative and liquor licensing experience advising and representing numerous national restaurants from the agency level through appeal.  He also has extensive family law experience focusing on dissolutions of long-term marriages, alimony, the division of personal property and small businesses, and custody disputes.  Finally, Nick proudly contributes his time and services to pro-bono work and numerous professional and civic boards.  Nick received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Drake University Law School and his B.B.A. from the University of Iowa.  

Of Particular Note:

  • Graduate of 2010 Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute Community Leadership Program (“CLP”).  The CLP is central Iowa’s premier and longest standing leadership program.  Each year, a select group of emerging and existing leaders from the private, public, and non-profit sectors are selected to participate.  The nine-month program is designed to raise awareness of the needs and challenges that affect the region, and enhance leadership skills with a focus on community stewardship.
