Scott Hall attended the University of Iowa for his undergraduate studies and upon obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Scott joined General Motors Acceptance Corporation in West Des Moines, Iowa. As part of his career with GMAC, Scott moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and then Las Vegas, Nevada to pursue additional opportunities within GMAC Financial Services. While living in Las Vegas and working full time, Scott earned his Masters in Business Administration, graduating with High Honors. In early 2005, Scott left GMAC and returned to Iowa to pursue his goal of becoming an attorney.

While attending Drake University Law School, Scott was an active participant of the Drake Law Review and his academic note was published by the Drake Law Review in December 2008. Scott was also active in the Drake Legal Clinic’s Criminal Defense Clinic where he served as a public defender defending court-appointed misdemeanor and minor felony cases in Polk County. In December 2008 Scott earned his Juris Doctor degree with High Honors from Drake University Law School. He was admitted to practice law in Iowa in April 2009.

Scott is an active supporter of University of Iowa athletics, serving on the board of the Polk County I-Club. He also serves as the Development Director for the Dan Holmstrom Memorial Scholarship which awards an annual scholarship to a University of Iowa undergraduate each Fall. In the past, Scott has also donated his time to mentor at-risk youth through a local partnership between Des Moines Public Schools, the Des Moines Area Religious Council, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa, known as Project Connect.
