Jaki Samuelson Elected to IATL Board of Governors

- Jaki Samuelson elected to Board of Governors of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers
The Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers recently elected new officers for 2008. Among them was Jaki Samuelson, a member attorney with Whitfield & Eddy, P.L.C., who was elected to an at-large position on the Academy's Board of Governors. The Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers was formed in 1962 to provide a forum for Iowa's top trial lawyers to exchange information and viewpoints concerning professionalism and the practice of law. Membership in the Academy in considered one of the highest honors in the profession. Although membership is by invitation only, and limited to 250 attorneys, the Academy freely shares its expertise with the rest of the Iowa legal community. The Academy's Advocacy Institute provides expert continuing legal education for all attorneys. The Academy also sponsors the Court Administrators Workshop where Iowa judges and court personnel are brought together to discuss problems within the court system. The Academy is a non-partisan organization dedicated to the promotion and improvement of the civil and criminal justice systems.
