Tyler Coe Presents on Ethics, COVID-19 and Self-Care for Lawyers


Des Moines divorce and family law attorney Tyler Coe presented to members of the Iowa State Bar Association (ISBA) on the topic "Ethics: COVID-19 and Self-Care" at the ISBA Juvenile Law Seminar on April 15, 2021.

The presentation covered topics including:

  • Attorney wellness and the connection to ethical obligations
  • Mental health and mental illness and the impact on client representation
  • Helping ourselves and others
  • Resources available for Iowa lawyers

In 2021, the Iowa State Supreme Court requires annual attorney wellness or diversity continuing legal education credit. Tyler Coe regularly offers continuing legal education credit for the ISBA and county bar associations, practice groups, affinity groups, Inns of Court, and other interested groups. He believes legal ethics directly connect with mental health and is committed to community wellness with an emphasis on mental health.
