Tyler Coe Presents on Work and Wellness for Lawyers


Tyler Coe, Des Moines divorce and family law attorney, talked to members of the Polk County Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Section about "Work and Wellness" on April 15, 2021.

The presentation covered topics including:

  • Ethical obligations for attorneys and the connection to wellness
  • How clients can be impacted by lawyer mental health and mental illness 
  • Lawyers being able to helping ourselves and clients
  • Public resources available for lawyers

In 2021, the Iowa State Supreme Court requires annual attorney wellness or diversity continuing legal education credit. Tyler Coe regularly offers continuing legal education credit for the ISBA and county bar associations, practice groups, affinity groups, Inns of Court, and other interested groups. He believes legal ethics directly connect with mental health and is committed to community wellness with an emphasis on mental health.
