Family Law

Overview

Whitfield & Eddy established a unique niche for mid-size law firms with a robust family law practice. The establishment and growth of the service is due to business and corporate clients seeking the same personalized service and attention for family matters as their day-to-day business matters.

Family law is an important part of Whitfield & Eddy’s suite of legal services that crosses over into many areas including small and closely-held businesses. Our attorneys understand that their strategies and decisions can affect more than just the immediate family, but also the larger responsibility as a business owner and manager. We work collaboratively with our business and litigators to ensure that all areas of concern are addressed. Additionally, we recommend that clients consult with our Estates, Wills, and Trusts attorneys to establish or amend any life plans that are in effect.

Many of our attorneys are able to practice in Collaborative Law and mediate family law matters.

Services Offered:

Prenuptial agreements

  • We consult with clients who have significant assets or liabilities to ensure equitable expectations in a new relationship.

Adoptions (including termination of parental rights)
