Marso and Mallen Present About Mechanic’s Liens at the Iowa Well Water Association Annual Convention

Attorneys Steve Marso and Anna Mallen were speakers at the Iowa Well Water Association’s 97^th Annual Convention and Trade Show on January 30, 2026 in Altoona. Their presentation, “Mechanic’s Liens in the Morning,” discussed various topics about Iowa’s mechanic’s lien law in Iowa Code Chapter 572, such as:

• The distinctions between residential and commercial projects; owners and owner-builders; and general contractors and subcontractors;

• Notice requirements;
• Filing and lawsuit deadlines; and
• Recent statutory amendments.
