Whitfield & Eddy Law Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Announcement


Whitfield & Eddy Law recently formed its first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee to guide and foster a welcoming and safe work environment for all. In 2017, the firm became a sponsor employer in the Drake Law School Cady Law Opportunity Fellow Program, formerly known as the Law Opportunity Leadership Program. The program provides law students from underrepresented backgrounds with mentorship, leadership training and guaranteed internships with Des Moines-based companies and law firms. The firm currently has one Cady Fellow associate attorney and two Cady Fellow law clerks, with one of those clerks having recently accepted a position as an associate attorney beginning Fall 2021.

The firm’s Whitfield Women group meets on a regular basis to support our female attorneys including associates, members and of counsel through mentorship, professional development, networking and charitable endeavors supporting our community.
