Whitfield & Eddy attorneys and staff volunteered to clean metro trails and provide pro bono services in honor of the Mark S. Cady Day of Public Service on Friday, October 21, 2022.
Since inception in 2021, the annual Cady Day of Service brings the Iowa state legal community including attorneys and staff together to honor the life and legacy of the late Iowa Supreme Court Justice and his commitment to public service, access to justice, and civil rights.
Firm attorneys also volunteered at the Drake University Law School power of attorney clinic.
Attorneys and staff cleaned a section of the Neal Smith Trail by Birdland Marina in Des Moines, Iowa with support from Des Moines Parks and Recreation. Chief Justice Cady was an avid runner and user of the network of local trails.
