Molly Kottmeyer

Molly Kottmeyer joined Whitfield & Eddy Law as its first Deputy General Counsel, a position the firm created to invest in its own future. Her work centers on the firm itself, and above all its people: everyone who makes Whitfield & Eddy Law what it is today and the top talent who will carry it into its second century.

Experience That Spans the Profession

Molly's perspective comes from eleven years as Counsel to the Chief Justice of the Iowa Supreme Court, working at the center of the state's judicial system and earning the trust of Iowa's highest court. She then founded a private practice serving nonprofit organizations, giving her firsthand experience running a legal business and advising mission-driven clients.

Guiding the Firm's Direction

As a member of the firm's Executive Leadership Team, Molly leads strategic planning, working with the Executive Committee to set long-term priorities and turn them into action. She also directs the firm's adoption of legal technology, evaluating the tools that help attorneys serve clients faster and better while protecting the standards clients expect from their counsel.

Growing the Firm: Lateral Recruitment
