Justin Sullivan Delivers Presentations at Land Contractors Annual Meeting and Convention

Attorney Justin Sullivan were presenters at the Iowa Land Improvement Contractors Association Annual Meeting and Convention in Des Moines, Iowa January 9-10, 2023.

Sullivan spoke about "Business Formation and Asset Protection" in which he provided tips for individuals to structure their operations in order to provide protection of their personal assets while maintaining a professional business entity. The presentation included question and answer session regarding a wide range of business matters.

Sullivan delivered "Family Feud: What Happens When the Farm is in a Trust or Estate, and We All Don't Get Along." the presentation covered important topics including:

  • Discussion of mechanisms to transfer property, including farm and company ownership interests, when a person passes
  • The legal impact of having no plan at all
  • Discussion of real legal issues that are preventable by thorough succession planning
