06.25.2021

Divorce and family law attorney Anjela (Anjie) Shutts has been sworn in as the 135th president of the Iowa State Bar Association, representing over 8,000 lawyers across the state of Iowa. She has served as a board of governor and officer. Anjie was elected as an officer in 2019 and served as the vice president from 2019—2020 and president-elect in 2020—2021. She is the fourth female president of the association since 1991—1992.

John Fatino, Whitfield & Eddy Law Executive Committee Chair, said, "Anjie has been driving force with the firm for over 25 years, even as a law clerk while attending Drake University Law School. She not only leads by example, but brings others along with her as they become better lawyers and engaged citizens, too."

Anjie was interviewed in the June 2021 edition of THE IOWA LAWYER.
