Iowa State University Construction Engineering Scholarship AwardedÂ
The Whitfield & Eddy Law construction and surety practice group once again awarded two $500 scholarships to Iowa State University Construction Engineering students. The firm has been a long-time supporter of the MBI's Scholarship Fund to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the program.
In her scholarship application, Savannah noted that her favorite high school classes were math or anything in the shop. "What really drives me to pursue a career within the design and building part of construction is... to flip and renovate houses." In his scholarship application, Gabriel noted he "took an (Architecture Construction Engineering) class in which we built structures throughout the community. I loved seeing the community's reaction to the completed project."
“Our attorneys work daily with Iowa State University College of Engineering graduates. We support the industry and students during their studies,” said construction attorney Jeffrey D. Stone, AP LEED.
Stone is a 1976 graduate of the ISU Construction Engineering program and 1992 law school graduate. He founded the Iowa State University ConE Reunion, an annual event celebrating it's 26th year on October 21, 2021. He is also a member of the ISU CCEE Anniversary Celebrations Planning Committee for the Construction Engineering 60th Anniversary in 2020 and College of Engineering 150th Anniversary in 2021.
